Junior forward Julie Rising has been named the College Hockey America Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on February 1. Rising assisted on the game-winner in Friday's 2-0 shutout at Wayne State, while adding two goals and one assist on Saturday's 3-2 come-from-behind win against the Warriors.

Junior Julie Rising netted two goals as the Syracuse University women’s ice hockey team erased a 2-0 deficit and scored three unanswered goals to sweep the Wayne State Warriors on Saturday afternoon at City Sports Center. SU’s top forward line consisting of Rising, junior Stefanie Marty and sophomore Megan Skelly accounted for all eight of Syracuse’s points as it improved to 15-12-1 (6-4-0), while the Warriors fall to 8-13-3 (4-6-0) on the season.

Senior goaltender Lucy Schoedel recorded her third shutout of the season as the Syracuse University women’s ice hockey team defeated College Hockey America rival Wayne State, 2-0, on Friday evening at City Sports Center. The win advances the Orange into second place in the CHA standings with a record of 14-12-1 (5-4-0), while the Warriors fall to 8-12-3 (4-5-0).

The Syracuse University women's ice hockey team (13-12-1, 4-4) will begin its first of a four-game road swing when it travels to College Hockey America foe Wayne State for a pair of conference contests. The Orange will attempt to end its four-game slide when it faces off against the Warriors on Friday, January 29 at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday, January 30 at 2 p.m. The game can be heard live on WSUAthletics.com via Teamline, while live stats will also be available.

The Syracuse women's ice hockey team rallied from a 4-1 deficit at the start of the third period by scoring two unanswered goals to bring the Orange within one in the final minutes, but it was not enough to overcome top-ranked Mercyhurst as it lost, 4-3, at Tennity Ice Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers swept the two-game series to improve to 19-1-3, while the Orange is now 13-12-1 on the season.
